In 1987, Ken Bank opened his second vacuum store on Rochester Rd. in Troy, Michigan. ("Pointe Vacuum" in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI was his first store). Originally "Troy Vacuum", the name was changed to "Banks Vacuum" in 1989 when Mr. Bank purchased "Dearborn Vacuum" from his father. In 1992, The Troy store moved three doors South to a new and larger building. The store continues to serve the Troy and neighboring communities.
